Imagine you are a real estate agent. You're in your car all
day long driving to and from one property to another. You may
have a cell phone to call the office to see where your next
appointment is, but is that really necessary? By having the
office point their calls to the internet and entering all of
the information. Every real estate agent within the company
will have a live feed to a wireless internet having their company's
web site being able to tell when when and where their next appointment
is.
So, how is this done? First we need a web hosting
company, and an internet service provider (IPP, and ISP respecivly).
We will also need a computer for office applications costing
approx. $2,000.00. Web hosting can run about $10.00-$50.00 /
month and internet service runs approximatly $20.00-$50.00 /
month. Cell phones can be a costly investment for your company
if there is a depost required and what type of phone you get.
Service plans for business could run $100.00 per cell phone
user because most phone calls are durring peak hours. Some cell
phones act as a pda, which can run approx. $500.00 per cell
phone/ pda combo. Wireless internet and voice may be cheaper
on such a device becuase both wireless services come from the
same provider. Laptops for today's business practices usually
run approx. $1,000.00 per computer laptop. There may be additional
charges for wireless internet depending on the area and wireless
access points.
